The Opportunity
To personify the tastiest groundnut, a rare gem from the hinterlands of Nigeria. Mr Ekpa is changing the narrative in the world of groundnuts. This was our opportunity to let Mr Ekpa and his colourful values sing!
We helped develop this groundnut initiative from the group up! After finishing the Start-up formula package, we worked along the creator of Mr Ekpa on a regular basis, expanding the bright and lively brand on more applications and moving Mr Ekpa to an online world.
Mr Ekpa is the Yoruba name for groundnuts, so it only seemed right for him to be the Nigerian ground mascot of the brand. Mr Ekpa is cool, calm (and tasty!). He appears through the whole range of groundnuts, along with some other important figures in his life.
Mr Ekpa hasn’t only flooded the Nigerian market with his cool charm, but has spread the word about the amazing minerals and vitamins to be found in each packet. You can find his nutty face pretty easily on social media now, so we think he’s doing a grand job!
